College girls, victims tie Rakhis to City police chief

Hyderabad: Girls from various colleges and victims rescued from harassment, tied Rakhis to City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police, Shika Goel, and ACP She Teams, C Narmada .

Speaking on the occasion, the CP said Rakhi is a lifelong “Bondage of Security” and the Police Department has the highest responsibility to maintain this Spirit of Security. He also said a positive shift in the mindset of society towards the Police was taking place slowly which will become permanent in the near future.

Shikha Goel also addressed the students and informed them about various methods of reaching out to the police and showed some videos of harassment. The program was organised by the “Lead Life Foundation”. Over 100 college girls participated in a one kilometer walk in support of SHE Teams and arrived at Bharosa Center, HACA Bhavan, Saifabad, where they tied Rakhis to SHE Teams.
