Secretary Minority Welfare Department Dana Kishore has directed collectors of 12 districts to allot land for English medium residential schools, so that buildings can be constructed for English medium residential schools to be established for minorities.
He told that a review meet will soon be convened in this regard. Former state minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir had made representation on the issue.
It must be noted that decision had been taken to set up English medium residential schools in 12 districts by GO MS 20, dated July 17, 2007.
