Rajkot, Nov 25: The cold wave has claimed its first toll in the Saurashtra-Kutch region.
An unidentified person was found dead on the footpath outside the civil court building here on Tuesday. The postmortem report revealed he died of cold.
Every winter, the region records a few deaths from cities like Rajkot and Amreli. The police was informed about the body by a social worker Ramesh Parmar, who provides services at the Rajkot Civil Hospital for cremation of unclaimed bodies.
