Chandigarh, February 04: Cold conditions abated in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh as the mercury rose a few notches above normal. Chandigarh recorded a low of 8.2 degrees Celsius, up by one degree, Met official said here.
In Punjab, the minimum temperature in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 7.2 deg C and 8.1 deg C respectively. Amritsar recorded a low of 5.3 deg C.
In Haryana, Hisar had a minimum of 9.8 C, which was three degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature in Ambala was 6.2 deg C. Mercury in Narnaul and Bhiwani settled at 6 deg C and 7 deg C respectively.
According to Met forecast, days would be partly cloudy while mist and haze would continue at various places in Punjab and Haryana.
