New Delhi, February 06: Cold conditions today receded in Punjab and Haryana where the minimum temperatures surged by seven notches above normal, while strong winds kept the mercury lower in Himachal Pradesh.
Delhi recorded a maximum of 27.1 deg C and minimum of 12.7 deg C, both five degrees above normal. The humidity oscillated between 50 and 95 per cent.
The mercury had touched 29.8 deg C yesterday, while the minimum was 11.1 deg C.
In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar recorded a low of 11.6 deg C and 14 deg C, up by four and seven degrees respectively while Chandigarh experienced a low of 13.2 deg C.
Rohtak, Karnal and Narnaul recorded a maximum of 12.6 deg C, 14 deg C and 11.4 deg C respectively.
In Himachal, the tribal areas of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti experienced another spell of mild snowfall while Shimla, Narkanda and higher hills received scanty rainfall.
