Coimbatore: 1 more person surrenders in atheist murder case

Coimbatore: Another person wanted in connection with the murder of Dravida Viduthalai Kazhakam (DVK) worker, Farooq, surrendered before a Court here on Monday, police said.

Saddam Hussain, a resident of Podanur here, arrived at the Judicial Magistrate court along with his advocate, to surrender, since his name was on the list of suspects.

There was no proof regarding Saddam’s involvement in the murder case, his advocate said.

Saddam is likely to be remanded to judicial custody, police said.

One Asrath had already surrendered before the court on March 17 in connection with the murder.

Farooq, was found murdered on the night of March 16, with deep cuts on neck and abdomen.
