A anonymous telephone call that a bomb was planted in the office of IT solutions giant Cognizant Technology Solutions in Madras Export Processing Zone campus at suburban Tambaram Sanatorium here turned out to be a hoax.
Soon after the call was received, police was alerted by Cognizant officials and employees were asked to leave the
premises to facilitate search by police and to avoid panic.
A thorough check was made. Sniffer dogs were also pressed into service. There was no bomb or any other explosive
substance at Cognizant,” police told PTI.
