Duration: 20 mins
Serves / Yields: 8 people

Ingredients:

Desiccated coconut – 200 gms
Condensed milk- 200 gms
Almonds- 6 to 7, chopped
Cashews- 8 to 10, chopped
Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp
Ghee-3 tbs
Pinch Green food color mixed in half cup of milk
Pinch Saffron color mixed in half cup of milk

Method:

Heat ghee in a pan and add the desiccated coconut  (keeping 3-4 tbs of desiccated coconut aside for garnishing).

Now on a medium flame saute the desiccated coconut till the color changes to light golden. To the same pan, add 200 gms of condensed milk, chopped cashews and almonds, cardamom powder.

Now divide the whole mixture into two equal portions so as to make two color ladoos.

In the first portion, add pinch saffron color mixed milk and mix nicely for 3-4 mins on a low flame till it attains a dough like consistency.

Close the flame and take it out in a bowl. Set them aside and let it cool down until it is cold enough to touch.

Grease your palm with more ghee, take small portion of the mixture and start rolling the coconut mixture into balls.

Roll the coconut ladoos on the dry coconut powder which you have kept aside for garnishing.

Do the same with the second portion of the mixture by adding the pinch of green color. Leave it to cool completely to room temperature.

Delicious coconut ladoos are ready to serve. Enjoy!
