New York:Actress Gwyneth Paltrow says co-parenting with her former husband Chris Martin has been hard.
The 42-year-old actress said the pair have gone through “difficult times” but their children Apple, 11, and Moses, 8, are the main priority, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Speaking at the #BlogHer15 conference here, Paltrow said: “It’s been hard and we’ve gone through really difficult times with it but we’ve always said these children are our priority.”
“I think unfortunately, although we couldn’t stay in a romantic relationship, our values are very much around the importance of family and the importance of those relationships and I’m lucky that we’re aligned in that way,” she added.
Paltrow, who is currently dating “Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk, also praised Martin as a great father to their children.
She said: “I’m very, very lucky that I have a partner who’s willing to do it with me in a really collaborative way. I’m really for Chris and he’s really for me and our children are our priority.”
“What that really means is: Even if you hate me and never want to see me again, we are going to brunch. It’s definitely imperfect, (but we) are really great friends (and) he’s a great dad.”
The former couple had announced they were “consciously uncoupling” in March 2014 after 10 years of marriage.
