Waking up from a deep slumber, following the telecast of shocking stories of sweepers and ward boy treating patients at a hospital in UP, the UP government finally came into action and sacked Chief Medical Superintendent of the Babu Banarsi Das District hospital in Bulandshahr. The ward boy who gave stitches to a child patient has also been suspended.
A video clip of a sweeper giving stitches to a patient at Bulandshahr government hospital was shown on NDTV. It has been told that IV class employees treating patients is not an uncommon occurrence in the state, as in another clipping, a ward boy was also shown administering vaccinations to patients.
