The Chief Minister Office on Monday dismissed reports that about thee lakh files pending with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
In a press release, the CMO said that a section of media has been publishing baseless stories without verifying facts with the concerned office and giving wrong information to the people. According to CMO, since January 2011, it has received 13,000 files and cleared more than 12,000 files or above 92 percent. However, some files related to legal complications and a few which needed departmental probe, were pending with the Chief Minister’s Office.
The CMO said that files relating to people’s problems and policy matters, which need urgent attention, were cleared on day-to-day basis after consulting the officials concerned. “There is no question of delay in clearing the files. About 90-92 percent of files have been disposed off in a speedy manner,” the CMO said. (INN)
