Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will lay foundation stone for Mega Textiles Park in Warangal on October 20, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said.
Talking to mediapersons today, Kadiam said the Chief Minister has announced funds for the project that will boost textile production in the State and give employment to people. He also said that during combined AP State, the Telangana region was deprived of funds and development and now on getting statehood, the TRS Government was taking all steps for its rapid growth, he said. While the state tops at national level in Ease of Doing Business and achieving GDP, the Opposition parties were making false allegations, he said.
The TRS government has acquired 1,200 acres out of 2000 acres for the textile park, he said. A total of Rs 1150 crore was needed for the textile park to attract Rs 11,500 crore investments and provide employment to about 1.13 lakh persons. Those who migrated to other states will get back to the park to eke out their livelihood, he said. The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 699 crore for ORR in Warangal and Rs 78 crore for ROB and works will be started soon.
Citing various schemes of welfare, he said KCR was committed for inclusive growth and all-round development of the State. He said Telangana formation was giving fruits as several development programs are on, projects nearing completion and welfare schemes reaching the unreached. Besides waiving off Rs 17000 cr crop loans, the Chief Minister announced Rs 8000 per acre towards crop investment for two crops a year. All such schemes are getting appreciation from other States and the Congress was unable to digest it, he said. Despite conspiracies and obstacles by Congress, the Chief Minister will move ahead to complete the projects and provide succor to the needy, he claimed. (nss)
