CM wants speaker to return the T bill

The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday gave notice to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, seeking to return the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill (T Bill) to the Centre, saying it contained full of errors and blunders.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, as Leader of the House, giving notice to the Speaker, drew strong criticism from the ministers and the legislators from Telangana region.
On behalf of the Chief Minister, the Minister for Legislative Affairs Dr Shailajanath presented the notice to the Speaker.
In the notice, Kiran Kumar Reddy asked the Speaker to return the Bill as per rule no. 77 of the Legislature Procedures. He alleged that the Bill has ignored the linguistic, cultural, financial and administrative aspects while bifurcating the State.

On the other side, the Minister for Endowments C Ramachandraiah gave notice to the Legislative Council Chairman Dr Chakrapani requesting him to return the Bill to the Centre.

Strongly objecting to the action of Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy, who belongs to Telangana region, also wrote a letter to the Speaker seeking to know whether the House had the right to return the Bill or not.(NSS)
