Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today vowed to fill vacant posts in Electricity department soon besides completing the bifurcation of its officials.
KCR was interacting with officials of TSGenco, TS Transco and other wings, who called on him at Camp office after a bike rally to mark Telangana State formation Day first anniversary celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister praised the electricity officials for playing a crucial role in tiding over power crisis and supplying uninterrupted power supply. “It is due to your role the people in the State are getting power on regular basis”, he noted. He also directed TS Genco CMD Prabhakar Rao to submit proposals on vacant posts. “Right now, we are purchasing power and next year Telangana State will produce adequate power and then become a surplus State”, KCR said. Power units will be set up in the State through Genco, he added. (NSS)
