CM visits Owaisi Hospital

Hyderabad, April 30: The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, immediately after knowing about the attack on the MIM floor leader, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, reviewed the situation with the top police officials.

The Home Minister, Ms P. Sabita Indra Reddy, the Minister for Panchayat Raj, Mr K Jana Reddy, the Director General of Police (DGP), Mr Aravind Rao, and the Intelligence Chief, Mr Mahender Reddy, attended the meeting.

The police top-brass informed the Chief Minister about the incident when he was attending a programme at the ESIC Hospital at Sanathnagar. The Chief Minister immediately arrived to the Secretariat at 12.35 pm and called for the meeting.

The police officials briefed the Chief Minister about the incident and situation prevailing in the city, particularly in the Old City.The Chief Minister directed the police chief to take necessary steps to prevent untoward incidents in view of attack on the MIM leader.

The DGP informed the Chief Minister that the police had put on high alert and deployment of additional forces in the sensitive areas were started.

After the meeting, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, along with Ms Sabita Indra Reddy and Mr K Jana Reddy drove to the Owaisi Hospital, where the MIM leader was admitted.
