CM to unfurl Tricolour at Golconda

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will unfurl Tricolor at Golconda fort to mark 70th Independence Day on Aug 15 at 10 am. After paying tributes to Telangana Martyrs at “Veerula Sainik Smarak” at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad in the morning, the Chief Minister will drive straight away to Golconda fort to unfold the Tricolour. This was stated by Chief Secretary, Dr Rajiv Sharma after a high level review meeting with officials at Secretariat here on Tuesday.  He asked the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the smooth and peaceful conduct of Independence Day celebrations across the state. He asked to illuminate High Court, Raj Bhavan, Assembly, Secretariat, Charminar and other noted offices and structures in the twin cities. Arrangements should be made in advance for better traffic regulation, sign boards along the stretch of Golconda fort, sanitation, mini RTC buses, barricading, supply of water, power and other facilities he said. Artistes of Cultural wing will perform at the citadel on the occasion, press release said.  (NSS)
