Hyderabad October 02: Chief minister K Rosaiah today thanked the people of the state, political parties, public representatives, religious organisations, youth, students and police for ensuring peace and harmony after the pronouncement of the verdict on Ayodhya title dispute by the Allahabad High Court.
He expressed happiness that the state in general and the city in particular remained calm after the judgment was pronounced.
In a message, Rosaiah said: “I congratulate the people of Andhra Pradesh, especially people of Hyderabad city for exhibiting communal amity and harmony after the judgment on Ayodhya. Various sections of society have shown maturity and exhibited camaraderie in maintaining peace and harmony in the State”.
The chief minister also reviewed the situation with the chief secretary S V Prasad, DGP K Aravind Rao, city police commissioner, A K Khan, IGP (Intelligence) Mahender Reddy and other officials.
He said that the state since its inception was known for communal harmony and peaceful co-existence of different sections of people. “Our state is on the fast track of progress. Let us concentrate on the growth and comprehensive development of the State,’’ the chief minister said in the message.
