CM takes strong objection to TDP MLA’s comment

Hyderabad, August 26: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today took strong exception to Opposition TDP MLA M Narasimhulu’s sarcastic suggestion to Congress members to eat ”cattle feed,” ridiculing his appeal to the people to eat ordinary variety rice in the wake of price rise.

Intervening during Question Hour, the Chief Minister made a pointed poser to the TDP member telling ”what do you think about us. Do you think we are not human being.

You want us to eat cattle feed.” It was unfortunate that the TDP member had stooped to the level of ridiculing a suggestion made to the state Ministers by him in the wake of price rise, he said. ”I had only suggested that people to eat the cheaper variety of rice procured by the FCI (Food Corporation of India),” the Chief Minister said amid uproar in the House.

Later, the TDP member contended that he had not said anything objectionable.
