CM sore over police apathy against Shankar Rao

Minister Prasada Kumar has said Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy felt very bad about the way the police misbehaved while arresting the Cantonment MLA Shankar Rao.

Prasada Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha today met the Chief Minister here on Friday and complained about the atrocious behaviour of the police towards Dr Shankar Rao.

Speaking to the media later, Prasada Kumar said the Chief Minister was pained at the police treatment to the party MLA. He told them that it was all done without his knowledge, he added. The minister said the Chief Minister also assured them that he would suspend the police personnel responsible for the ill-treatment of the MLA. He said all the Dalits were hurt because of the over-enthusiasm shown by the police. He exuded confidence that the Chief Minister would order an inquiry soon.
