Telangana leaders KR Amos and K Yadava Reddy today expressed happiness over the completion of debate on Telangana Draft Bill in Assembly and Council. Addressing a press conference at congress legislature party office here they said that 47 days suspense is over with the Assembly and Council winding up the debate process.
They criticized that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Seemandhra leaders are still trying to cheat their people with regard to Telangana statehood. They must mend their ways lest their people will teach them a fitting lesson in the coming general elections, Amos warned.
Amos found fault with Kiran Reddy for the resolution against the bill, which will be passed in the Parliament very soon. Kiran should step down if he has any moral values with regard to his tactics on Telangana bill, they demanded.
He accused Kiran of defying the party high command for a false prestige and political mileage. The center will accord statehood to Telangana and dreams will be a reality soon, he added. Now it is the time for Seemandhra leaders to ask what they need for building a new capital, he suggested. (NSS)
