Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday sanctioned Rs One lakh each to the kin of those killed in Palem bus accident.
It may be recalled here that 44 passengers were charred to death when the Volvo bus they were travelling from Bangalore to Hyderabad was involved in a tragic accident at Palem in Mahabubnagar District in the early hours of 30th October. The Andhra Pradesh Government had ordered the setting up of a committee of senior IAS officers to probe the cause of the Palem bus mishap and also to suggest measures to prevent such accidents in future. The Chief Minister had also ordered a CB CID enquiry on the accident. (INN)
