CM reviews RTC stir

Hyderabad, September 27: With the Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana away in Visakhapatnam, the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar held an urgent review meeting with Labour Minister Danam Nagender and RTC managing director Bayyarapu Prasada Rao at his camp office on Monday.

Prasad Rao briefed the Chief Minister about the alternate arrangements being made by the RTC in view of the strike. However, the Chief Minister was told that of nearly 10,000 buses that normally ply in the region, less than 400 bus services could be operated on the 8th day of RTC strike. The Chief Minister is also learnt to have given nod to the management to initiate action against the employees on the strike.

Earlier on Monday, the RTC Managing Director has asked the staff to resume their duties and warned them that Esma would be invoked in all departments of RTC. He warned that strict action would be initiated against the erring employees.
