CM reviews Ramzan, Ifthar on June 26

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the official machinery to make the best arrangements for the pious Ramzan festival at all mosques and Edgahs across the state and in twin cities.

At a high level review meeting along with his deputy Mahamood Ali, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma and other officials at camp office here, KCR said besides conducting Ifthar Party at Nizam College grounds with special prayers on June 26, a six day long Ramzan festivities should be conducted at 100 locations in twin cities and 95 Assembly segments in all other districts. Stating that he will attend the main Ifthar party at the Nizam College grounds he asked the officials to invite all important leaders, eminent personalities, religion heads, ambassadors, consulates  for the mega event. The Chief Minister asked them to ensure complete availability of the facilities during the festivities. To mark the Ramzan festival he asked them to distribute clothes to 2 lakhs of Muslim brethren at all the Mosques and Madarsas and also at Madarsas and orphanages form June 17 to 22.

All mosques should be decorated on the occasion and also basic amenities be made available to the devout he added. He also reviewed education and employment opportunities for poor Muslims and Minorities. Stating that an inquiry was ordered for the status on the land distributed among 3 lakh Muslims so far he said that steps will be taken for proper use of the land. KCR also said that development of assigned lands will be taken up soon to help minorities a CMO release said. (NSS)
