Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has conducted a review by phone with Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy and DGP Dinesh Reddy on the situation in old city where tension prevailed yesterday.
Clashes between two community groups took place in the old city during Bakrid festival. Home Minister has explained to the chief minister that heavy police force has been deployed at sensitive areas as violence took place at Kulsumpura, Meerchowk,Sabzimandi, Ziaguda areas due to rumors.
The Chief Minister suggested to the Home Minister to see that the police took suitable steps to ensure normal life in other areas in the city. He ordered the Home Minister not to comprise on maintaining law and order in the city.
