Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday reviewed the situation in the Old City during a meeting with Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy and other senior officials.
Sources say that Dinesh Reddy briefed the Chief Minister about the steps taken by the police to maintain law and order situation in the Old City. He reportedly gave a detailed report on the developments that took place on Sunday over the Bhagyalakshmi Temple issue.
The Chief Minister has also reportedly asked Dinesh Reddy to probe into the allegations of harassment and bias leveled against the police by the MIM leaders. He directed the DGP to take stern action against those responsible for any kind of violence besides ensuring peace in the entire city.
