CM reviews guidelines, priority issues

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday reviewed the arrangments for Praja Patham programme which will be held from April 15 to May 5 in all the villages across the State.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate the programme on April 15th. He will hold a video conference on Praja Patham with all district officials at the State Secretariat on Wednesday.

Ministers Kanna Lakshminarayana, Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, N Raghuveera Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, D.Manikya Vara Prasad, Smt. Sunitha Laxma Reddy, Sreedhar Babu and Kondru Murali Mohan and senior officials attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that hereafter same Cabinet sub-committee will look after both the Praja Patham and Rachabanda programmes. The Chief Minister today reviewed the schedule of Praja Patham programme, priority themes and important guidelines. He also directed the finance department to release the required funds for drinking water and other works under Contingency Relief Fund (CRF) and non CRF.

The Chief Minister directed release of Rs 25 crore immediately for shifting of LT lines in the housing colonies. He also asked the officials to closely monitor the 108 emergency and 104 services and ensure their prompt functioning. He wanted enough medicines to be procured and stored in the medical depots. The Chief Minister wanted more hospitals to be opened in the tribal areas.

Prajapatham is an interaction between the public, their elected representatives and a team of public servants. Prajapatham focuses on a set of priority issues, appropriate for the time of the year and area/habitation concerned. It involves all the public representatives right from Member of Parliament to the grassroot Panchayat and Municipal Ward Members.

Prajapatham – 2012 will be held from 15th April to 5th May 2012 covering all the Gram Panchayats\Wards in the State. Visits to Gram Panchayats\ Wards will be held from 16th April to 5th May, 2012.

Priority themes in Prajapatham are MGNREGA, Drinking Water (Rural and Urban), Seven hours Power Supply to farmers and Health related issues – visits to PHC/CHC and Arogyasri, 108, 104 services, Pavala Vaddi (IKP) Rural and Urban. (INN)
