Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today said the State government will resolve the issues of home guards.
Reacting to the protests by the home guards over their demands, Narsimha Reddy said the government will discuss with Home Guards Association on their just demands to be met. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was also ready to address the problems of the home guards, he said.
The Home Minister took objection to the proposed protest by CPI leader K Narayana to extend solidarity with the home guards. The home guards are not seeking Narayana’s help in this regard, he added. The home guards, who are drawing about Rs 12,000 a month with a recent salary hike, are urging the government to regularize their services and provide health cards and other benefits on par with government employees.
