CM quit for selfish gains: Nagender

Labour Minister Danam Nagender today said Kiran Kumar Reddy played dramas only for political gains.

Talking to mediapersons at Congress Legislature Party office here on Wednesday, Danam said Kiran Kumar Reddy could have resigned six months ago if he has any moral values when Congress Working Committee had taken a decision in favor of Telangana State. The Seemandhra leaders and people are of the opinion that Kiran deceived them in the guise of Samaikyandhra. The Congress High Command would have shown door to Kiran Kumar Reddy if he failed to resign, Nagender said. He also slammed Kiran for keeping everybody in dark about package offered by the Centre. Nagender said the former resigned for his selfish gains and for taking credit of Seemandhra people. “We abide by the party decision on Telangana, which should have no conditions”, he said.

Stoutly opposing the proposal to give law and order to Governor, Nagendar sought to know as to why conditions on Telangana region wherein the people of 28 States were residing in total peace and harmony. “We oppose conditions on Telangana which needs total powers”. Nagender said an inquiry will be ordered against Kiran Kumar Reddy for making settlements. He demanded that a CBI inquiry should be ordered into Kiran’s brother for ‘amassing’ wealth by illegal means. He ridiculed Kiran Kumar Reddy for belittling the Congress high command’s decision to carve out Telangana State. Aimed to gain politically in the forthcoming general elections, Kiran tried his best to take on the might of the Congress and UPA government, Nagender observed. (NSS)
