(Siasat News)Chief Minister of A.P. Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy assured that some more steps have to be taken for the welfare and development of the Muslim Community. He gave an assurance that he would appoint one counselor for every 100 Muslim houses to guide them for eradication of poverty and illiteracy by facilitating to arrange interest free loans to the Muslim families.
A delegation led by Mr. Abid Rusool Khan, General Secretary of A.P. Congress Committee met C.M. It included Mr. Mohammed Ayub Khan, Secretary, APCC, Justice E. Ismail, President Muslim Welfare Association Mr. Mohammed Abdur Rasheed, Mr. Abdul Qadeer and Mr. Ahmed Mukesh (Journalist).
Meeting the Muslim delegation, C.M. offered Eid greetings to them and told that following the secular values, Congress has taken many welfare measures for the development of Muslim Community. Govt. has to do many more things. Govt. will certainly take steps for the development of Muslim Minority. It will make Muslims partners in the welfare and development schemes of the Govt. Interest free loans scheme for women will also benefit Muslim women.
C.M. agreed to appoint one counselor for every 100 Muslim houses to eradicate illiteracy in rural areas. He hoped that it would enhance the enrolment of Muslim students in schools, which will minimize the rate of school dropouts. Parents would be provided guidance for getting scholarships. He also promised that he would fill up the vacant posts of corporations restating to Minorities within a month and the Muslim leaders of Congress would certainly be considered for these appointments.
