CM promises free essentials for two months

Kurnool, October 13: Chief Minister K Rosaiah has promised distribution of essentials free of cost to flood victims irrespective of whether they possessed ration cards.

The ration dealers, he said, have been ordered not to link the possession of ration cards for distribution of free essentials.

He toured flood-ravaged Kurnool district for the last two days — Sunday and Monday — and spoke to the affected.

He consoled the victims in Prakash Nagar, Kothapet, police quarters, DPO office, old city, King Market, Gadiyaram Hospital, Ammavari Salai in Kurnool town and Salim Nagar, Dalitpet, Nandamuri Nagar in Nandyal town.

He toured the flood-hit places in a bus.

He said the government will build new houses to all those whose have collapsed. Similarly, petty and big traders will be given loans under `pavala vaddi’ scheme, he said.

He promised help to the farmers and free textbooks to students. In case, students lose any certificates, new ones will be issued soon. He said he had understood the problems of the flood-hit during the last two days.

Your suggestions and advices will be considered with regard to providing help, he said.
