AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today presented the holy Venkanna saree- traditional presentation of TTD comprising of a sari, Kumkum, pasupu and bangles to Goddess Krishnamma.
The presentation was made as Lord Venkateswara’s offering as part of the Krishna pushkarams. The Chief Minister along with ministers and family members took a holy bath at Durga ghat this morning and presented the Venkanna Sari to Goddess Krishnamma.
A delegation of TTD officials, led by JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju and others brought the holy Venkanna Sari from Tirumala for the event. The TTD set up a model Srivari temple at Vijayawada for sake of devotees at the PWD grounds. The TTD also made arrangements for distribution of Anna Prasadam for nearly one lakh persons daily. The TTD will also present Venkanna Harati every day in the evening after it is taken in a procession from the model temple to Durga ghat every day. (NSS)
