CM pays tributes to Maulana Azad, Wajahat among five got the award

Hyderabad, November 12 (Siasat News): Chief Minister K Roasaiah paid tributes to India’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad for his educational and journalistic contribution for the country.

He conferred Maulana Azad Award to Siasat’s reporter Mr. Nayeem Wajahat for his contribution in the field of print journalism. Apart from him other four journalists from print and electronic media also got the award.

Late Mualana Azad is known for his bold journalism through his renowned newspapers Al-Hilal and Al-Bilaagh and no one can deny his untiring efforts to create awareness among the minorities of the country for their rights.

Besides Mr. Wajahat, M/s Ayub Ali Khan (Times of India), Imtiyaz Ali Taj (Doordarshan), Aneesur Rahman (Etv Urdu) and Mohd. Saleemuddin (Telugu daily Surya) were conferred the award which is in its inception period and will be continued every year for those who contribute their efforts in the field of education and journalism.

It is to be recalled here that Nayeem Wajahat is the son of the famous journalist of Jogi pet late Mr. Sardar Jameel.
