Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today paid floral tributes to senior Communist leader, former MLA and warrior of Telangana freedom struggle Chennamaneni Rajeshwar Rao here at the latter’s residence.
On hearing the demise of Rajeshwar Rao, the Chief Minister drove straight to Chennamaneni’s residence and placed a wreath on the coffin and consoled the bereaved family members, including Chennamaneni Ramesh, Vemulawada TRS legislator. Besides, condoling the death of Telangana stalwart, the Chief Minister expressedsympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed that his soul rests in peace.
Last rites will be performed on Tuesday, it is learnt.
Minister Jogu Ramanna and other senior leaders were present. While AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also condoled the death of Rajeshwar Rao, who was vice-president of Telugu Desam party for some time before bifurcation of the State. (NSS)
