Hyderabad, July 08: Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy today ordered an enquiry by a senior police officer of IG rank into the alleged rape of a 15-year old Dalit girl by the police.
According to a press release issued by Dalit Sthree Sakthi, representatives of various associations who included Dalit leader Bojja Tarakam, NAWO member Vasanth Kannabiran, DSS convenor Jhansi Geddam and others today met Chief Minister at his Begumpet camp office requesting him to punish the guilty police personnel allegedly involved in rape of a Dalit girl.
