CM launches Green Channel for fast clearance of layouts

Hyderabad, June 18: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today launched the ‘Green Channel’ of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), which will facilitate expeditious clearance of Layouts and Building Plans.

Through Green Channel, permission for layout and building in Non-Multistoried Building Category will be cleared in seven days from the date of submission while for multistoried buildings clearance will be given in 30 days from the date of submission.

HMDA has empanelled Architects and Document Auditors for this purpose whose list is also published in the brochure, released today. The brochure is available at Greenlands and Tarnaka Offices.

The applicants are required to get their forms and documents whetted by the Pre-trained empanelled Architects and Document Auditors before submission. The fully completed applications forms would be accepted at Tarnaka office of HMDA on every Thursday from 1030 hrs to 1400 hrs, a press release here said. A special processing fee of Rs 10 per sq mtrs in case of buildings and Rs 4 per sq mtrs for layouts will be levied for clearance through Green Channel.

The green channel is optional and the normal clearance procedure also available for those who do not wish to opt for this route.

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, IAS Commissioner and GHMC Special Officer S P Singh and representatives of the Builders forum were present on the occasion.
