CM to launch SRSP revival program today

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar will launch the prestigious SRSP revival program at Pochampad in Nizamabad district on August 10.

The Chief Minister will reach the guest house near the project and will lay the foundation for project at 11 am on Thursday. KCR will also address a public meeting at 1 pm near the site. The project is estimated to cost Rs 2,000 crore and will irrigate four districts, including Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal. About five lakh farmers from these districts and from Nalgonda district will be attending the meeting. KCR will speak to farmers and announce sops he plans to give them on the occasion, including Rs 4000 per acre towards investment for farm activity and setting up farm federations to benefit farmers.
