Several districts in Karnataka have been hit by heavy rains in the past several days, and a controversial video of H D Revanna went viral on social media in which he is seen throwing biscuits at flood-affected people.
H D Revanna, Karnataka Minister and brother of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy were seen picking biscuit packets and throwing them at flood victims sheltered in the relief camp. He was accompanied by his party MLA AT Ramaswamy who represents Arkalgudu taluk.

S Suresh Kumar, Senior BJP leader slammed Revanna for the act, in his Facebook post he asked: “Dear Public Works Minister, throwing biscuits at the flood victims is not a public work, Is it the bloated ego, uncivilised behaviour behind throwing biscuits?”
Coming to the defence of his brother, Kumaraswamy said Revanna’s act was not out of ‘arrogance.’ “I have noticed that the issue has come in TV, don’t take him otherwise. I have crosschecked… while distributing the biscuits, there was a large number of people there and there was no place for movement,” said Kumaraswamy.
