Congress leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar today alleged that while the Telangana State was meted out gross injustice in the recent Union budget, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao remained unconcerned.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Ponnam said the State government failed to fetch achieve projects like Bayyaram Steel Factory and AIMS to the State. While the AP government was getting ready to launch a movement against the Centre for doing injustice to that State, the KCR government remained calm as it was in collusion with the BJP.
Ponnam recalled that Telangana Congress leaders in the united State fought with their own Central government for separate Telangana State in an outside Parliament. He also pointed out that the Chief Minister had extended his support to the GST and failed to question the BJP when it did injustice to the infant State.
Claiming that corrupt deals of KCR were in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ponnam said KCR kept mum even though the Centre left the Telangana State in the lurch. “We will prepare an action plan to launch a movement against the Centre to force it to fulfill its assurances made to the State”, he said, adding that the State BJP leaders were not responding on the injustices meted out to the new State.
