CM Kejriwal pays tribute to Head constable died in Karkardooma court firing

New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Rajyavardhan Rathore and Delhi police commissioner BS Bassi on Thursday paid last tribute to Delhi Police Head constable Ram Kumar who was killed yesterday Karkardooma court firing.

The mortal remains of the deceased were kept in caskets draped in the national flag as the dignitaries paid tributes by laying wreaths over them, one by one.

Kumar was killed when four armed assailants opened fire inside a courtroom at Karkardooma Court Complex in east Delhi yesterday.

The incident occurred around 11.15 a.m. when a criminal, having more than 100 cases against him, was being produced at courtroom number 73. Those present in the courtroom, including the judge, had to run for cover as the assailants fired indiscriminately.

A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered at Farsh Bazar police station. Several teams have been formed to investigate and catch the culprits behind the daring attack. (ANI)
