Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today extended an invitation to President Pranab Mukherjee for the Centenary Celebrations of prestigious Osmania University scheduled to be held here for three days in April.
The Chief Minister, who is in national capital for a couple of days, called on the President and urged him to grace the centenary celebrations of the OU to be held from April 26 to 28. He also offered similar invitation to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on the occasion.
The Chief Minister apprised the President of post-demonetization situation and political scenario in Telangana. KCR urged Javadekar to sanction IIM for Telangana as was promised by the Centre and also one Kendriya Vidyalaya for each district in the new State. The Union Minister was urged to allot funds for Osmania University development.
Jithender Reddy told mediapersons later that Pranab Mukherjee was expected to attend the centenary celebrations on the inaugural day of April 26. Other dignitaries invited will also attend the prestigious event, he said. Jithender Reddy said the Centre is to allot funds for the Osmania University development.
