CM Interested Only In Seat, Not People: TDP

TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was only spending all his time to save his chair and was not showing any interest on people’s problems.

Naidu, who suspended his “Vastunnaa Meekosam padayatra” to visit the flood affected areas in the coastal region arrived here on Monday. Speaking to the media at the Gannavaram airport, Naidu ridiculed the Chief Minister for making an aerial survey of the flood affected areas. He said he could have as well remained in his camp office and watched the scenes on the TV. He also questioned whether the Chief Minister had no time to make a field visit and interact with the people. He demanded that the Prime Minister immediately come to the State to have first hand understanding of the serious situation prevailing due to floods.

The former chief minister said the people were pushed to dire straits because of the wrong policies and failures of the government. He said though Congress has been in power since the last nine years, it has not taken any permanent measures to face floods and other natural calamities. He demanded that a white paper be issued on the measures being taken by the government in times of such calamities. He also demanded that farmers be provided an immediate relief of Rs 10,000 per acre in the flood affected areas. (NSS)
