C.M. of A.P. Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy has instructed the officials of Irrigation Department to accelerate the construction works of irrigation projects in Rayalaseema area. He instructed them to prepare an action plan.
C.M. reviewed the irrigation projects of Rayalaseema involving an expenditure of Rs.28 thousand crore. He expressed his desire to the officials to complete these projects as early as possible.
He also advised the officials of the Dept of Irrigation to depute a Liaison Officer in New Delhi t expedite these cases by coordinating the works in the ministries of Environment, Forest and Irrigation etc.
Ms. Minnie Mathew, Chief Secretary, Mr. Arvind Reddy, Principal Secretary of Irrigation Dept., Mr. Muraliddhar, Engineer-in-Chief of Irrigation, Mr. Parkeel, Chief Conservator of Forests and officials of Railway attended the meeting held in Secretariat yesterday.
