Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today visited Ravindra Bharathi. He went round the premises, examined the block where Cultural Affairs department was functioning.
The Chief Minister also discussed with the officials about the action to be taken to use Ravindra Bharathi, which was in the heart of the city, for the better use. He said there was a need to expand the parking lots and spread the green lawns. He also wanted the Telangana Sahitya Academy function operate from Ravindra Bharathi and suggested better coordination between the Academy and Cultural Affairs department.
The Chief Minister also asked the officials to make proper arrangements and prepare an action plan for the Telangana World Telugu Conference to be held in October this year. He wanted suggestions to be given to the government of action to be initiated to protect Telugu language and preserve its greatness. The Chief Minister released a compilation of poems by Telangana poets with village as background theme, “Talliveru”.
