CM to inspect all areas under GHMC & announce developmental works

HyderabadJanuary 01: As part of 100-day action plan, the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, will inspect all areas in the Greater Hyderabad and announce the developmental programmes to be taken up. During this period, the Chief Minister would cover all the 24 Assembly segments in the twin cities.

On Friday, the Chief Minister reviewed developmental activities in Greater Hyderabad with the officials of the GHMC, Metro Water Works and Sewerage Board, Traffic Police and other departments concerned in the Secretariat. He also examined the Action Plans prepared by the GHMC, Metro Water Works and Sewerage Board, Traffic Police on the issues of the city. In the earlier review meeting, the Chief Minister had directed the officials to come with 100-day action plan to solve the problems relating to their departments. The Chief Minister would sum up the action plans of these departments and make announcements during his tour in the area.

Speaking to mediapersons after the review meeting, the Minister for Labour, Mr Danam Nagender, along with the Minister for Marketing, Mr M Mukesh Goud, said that for the first time in the history of the State, the Chief Minister has taken up an 100-day action plan for allround development of the city. Formally launching the programme, the Chief Minister would inspect the works of Outer Ring Road (ORR) on Friday evening. Later, he would visit the areas in the city day after day, he added.

It was the Chief Minister’s gift to the City people, Mr Nagender felt. The Chief Minister directed the departments concerned to strictly implement the proposed works as per their action plan. The government was ready to spend any amount of money for it, he added. An advertisement would be released to the Print and Electronic media every week on the Chief Minister’s tour and works to be taken up in the areas, he added.

Mr Nagender also announced that the 100-day action plan programme would be further expanded throughout the State, in which the District Ministers and MLAs would participate.

Reacting to the criticism of the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, against the State government on welfare of the farmers, Mr Nagender said that Mr Naidu, who had totally neglected the welfare of the farmers during his nine-year regime, was now shedding crocodile tears on farmers’ issues. He recalled that Mr Naidu government had ordered firing against the farmers, who thronged Basheerbagh as a part of Chalo Assembly. The farmers would never believe Mr Naidu whatever he does, he added.(NSS)
