Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana is making an attempt to enhance the share of Muslims in every walk of life. It has therefore appointed a Muslim Dy. CM, 4 MLCs, five Chairmen of Corporations and chairman of Electricity Regulatory Commission, Mr. Ismail Ali Khan. CM assured that a Muslim VC will also be appointed soon. He requested the intellectuals to submit proposals through Dy. CM or Chairman of Wakf Board to ensure the development of Muslims.
CM was addressing Iftaar Party hosted by him at Lal Bahadur Stadium, Fateh Maidan yesterday. He used simple Urdu for his speech in which he assured that whatever steps Govt. is taking will not develop the Muslims completely. More steps are needed for their development.
Mentioning the Ganga Jamuna Civilization of Hyderabad, he said that by maintaining it, Telangana will not only become an exemplary state in India but it will get a good name throughout the world. Citing the example of India-Islamic Center, New Delhi, CM said that Govt. has decided to setup an Islamic Center at a central place in Hyderabad. Land has also been earmarked for it. Very soon, he would lay down the foundation stone for it. He mentioned that yesterday, foundation stone was laid for the construction of Anees-ul-Ghurba orphanage complex with an estimate of Rs. 30 crore. He said that in this manner, everything is possible through efforts. He declared that always justice wins.
CM announced that in respect of development and production, Telangana has attained the topmost status in the entire country. Mentioning the circumstances prior to the formation of Telangana State, it was ridiculed that Telangana struggle won’t be successful but on account of its grand success, Telangana has transformed this ridicule into happiness.
CM told that with pride and happiness, he can say that Govt. has taken necessary steps for the educational development of Minorities. So far, 204 minority residential schools have been started wherein minority students would get corporate and convent level standard of education. He told that by the end of 2022, 1.33 lakh students would get education from these residential schools. In the establishment of Minorities Residential schools, he applauded the services of Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS, former DGP of ACB who is presently the Advisor to Govt. of Telangana.
He also mentioned that in order to ensure the representation of Minorities in Civil Services, 100 students have been selected and they are being provided training for facing IAS, IPS and other exams. In addition to it, under overseas scholarship scheme, Govt. is providing Rs. 20 lakh financial aid to each of the 595 students. Citing the case of 12% reservation for Muslims, he told that Govt. has decided to provide jobs and education to the extent of 12%. Govt. presented the bill in the Assembly and got it passed. The bill has been sent to Govt. of India for its final approval. He has also spoken to PM in this context. If need be, he would take a delegation to New Delhi to make effective representation for getting 12% reservation for Minorities.
Earlier, Mr. KCR distributed Ramadan gift packets to orphan and destitute children of Anees ul Ghuraba.
Maulana Khaleel Ahmed, VC of Jamia Nizamia highlighted the importance of Ramadan and the righteousness of Islam and prayed for the development of the State. Hafiz Qari Zabihullah recited the verses of the Quran at the beginning of the function. After Iftaar party, arrangement was made for Magrib prayer. Mufti Khaleel Ahmed led the first batch of the worshipers whereas Hafiz Saber Pasha, Imam of Haj House led the second batch of worshippers.
