Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will hold talks with the APNGOs and other unions who are on strike demanding united Andhra Pradesh on October 17.
A decision to this effect was taken on Tuesday when APNGOs President Ashok Babu called on the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat. The APNGOs have agreed for talks to find out a possible way out to end the strike going on since August 12 midnight. Over four lakh employees are on strike in protest against Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana. On earlier occasions, the APNGOs’ talks with the Cabinet Sub-Committee have failed and later they refused to participate in talks the committee.
The Chief Minister was so far successful in ending the strike by teachers, RTC and Secretariat employees by holding talks with them. (INN)
