In the light of Supreme Court verdict on engineering fee structure, the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday held a meeting the officials concerned and discussed the matter.
The Minister for Finance, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Principal Secretary of Higher Education M G Gopal, State Higher Education Council Chairman Jayaprakash and other officials attended the meeting.
The officials explained to the Chief Minister about uniform fee of engineer colleges and tuition fee reimbursement. The meeting has discussed the Supreme Court judgment and steps to be taken up. It has also implications of fee hike as the government has allocated Rs 4,000 crores in the budget. They are also estimated the additional burden, if the fee was hiked. It has also decided to held a meeting again after receiving full text of court verdict. (NSS)
