Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday laid foundation stones for various developmental works at the Sri Lakshmi-Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri near Bhongir town in Nalgonda district in the presence of Governor ESL Narsimhans, China Jeeyar Swamy and some ministers.
It may be mentioned here that KCR government has been planning to remodel the Yadadri temple on par with that of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy in Tirumala in Chittoor district. On the occasion, Governor ESL Narsimhan, Vimala Narsimhan, China Jeeyar Swamy, Ministers Indrakaran Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, MP Boora Narsaiah Goud and others had a darshan of Lord Lakshmi-Narasimha Swamy and performed special pujas. On arrival at the temple, the priests received the VIPs with Poornakumbham. The Chief Minister unveiled the plaque of “Vimana Gopuram”. At the foot of the hill shrine, the Chief Minister unveiled another plaque at Thulasi Kota.
Later, the Chief Minister conducted a review meeting with the Temple Development Authority, Forest and Revenue officials. In the meeting, the Chief Minister enquired with the officials about land acquisition and other related subjects. He asked the temple committee to take immediate steps to develop the temple as planned. KCR also asked them to complete the works expeditiously. The officials made a power point presentation on the development of the hill shrine in the Sangeet Bhavan. The Chief Minister left for home later. (NSS)
