Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that he had sanctioned Rs 145 crore worth different works during his three-day visit to Srikakulam as part of Indiramma Baata.
Addressing a district-level review meeting with the Collector and other officials here on Sunday, Kiran Kumar Reddy directed the district Collector S. Soloman Raj to ensure there was no shortage of plates, tumblers and blankets for the inmates of Social Welfare hostels within a week. He also held a review meeting with the officials and wardens of government hostels on the conditions prevailing in the hostels in Srikakulam.
The Collector also directed the officials to provide all amenities to students. He told them to appoint sweepers at all the hostels and rush students to doctors whenever they fall ill. Directing the wardens to stay in the hostels, the Collector warned that action would be taken for non-compliance.
Additional Joint Collector Venkata Subba Reddy and J C Vinay Chand also participated in the meeting. (NSS)
