CM gave a befitting reply to Jagan: VHR

Hyderabad, January 24: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao said the party high command would not tolerate the anti-party activities of some MLAs owing allegiance to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and would take appropriate action against them.

Addressing a press conference here today, he said people did not like some MLAs and a couple of MPs rallying behind Jagan Mohan Reddy while staying in the Congress. “They feel it is unethical for them to do so,” he said.

The party leadership was determined to take action against the ‘black sheep’ regardless of whether such action might create a problem to the state government, he said.

The MP said Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy gave a befitting reply Jagan Mohan Reddy last night by telling him clearly that the state government was not at his mercy. Now, all ministers would react on these lines to put the party’s attitude towards Jagan Mohan Reddy in proper perspective.

The senior Congress leader said he would not attach much importance to former minister K Ramakrishna and MP Sabbam Hari’s outbursts that an Italian was ruling the country. “YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his family members benefited from Sonia Gandhi like no other leader did,” Rao said. “All those in the Congress are what they are today because of Sonia Gandhi. Those who got elected to legislative houses used her image and won the elections. There is none who has won the elections on one’s individual strength,” he said.

Hanumanth Rao appealed to TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao not to disrupt the Racchabanda in the name of Telangana agitation. “You are free to organise your agitations for the T cause but do not disturb Racchabanda since it is intended to reach benefits to the poorest of the poor,” he urged.
